Back pain is the second most common reason for visits the primary care physicians in the United States. More than 90% of people will have an incident of low back pain at some point in their lives. So it is safe to say that if you have not already had it, then you will someday. If you have had back pain then you know how debilitating it can really be. It can have a significant impact on your entire life, becuase unlike other body parts you can just "stop" using it. You move you back for virtually every daily activity! Luckily, even with the most severe cases of low back pain, 98% of all cases are successfully managed conservatively. This means Physical Therapy, oral medication, and possibly and injection.
